Scuba Escape has been nominated as Go Activity of the Year!

Scuba Escape has been pivotal in bringing numerous people to the world of Scuba since it started at Vivian Quarry in North Wales. From experienced divers, to people who have never even thought of Scuba Diving, people from all walks of life are now doing it, purely to participate in these games.

Not only that, but due to the various levels of the games, it has put Scuba diving in the UK in front of international countries who would never of thought of coming to the UK to dive. It has allowed us to showcase that not only can you Scuba dive in the UK and we actually have amazing sites to dive, but people can actually do the world’s first Scuba Escape.

The creators – Leanne and Clare – obtained endorsement from PADI (a world leading scuba diving agency) to write these games as courses, and now anyone completing the games can become PADI certified as a Scuba Escape Diver.

The Scuba Escape team have been successful in showcasing this over various media platforms including features on HEART radio, The Metro Newspaper, The Insider magazine and the BBC One Show.

The new creation has not only put Scuba Diving on the map for the UK, but specifically North Wales, Llanberis, with people worldwide coming to stay locally to participate in the games at the UNESCO awarded Vivian Quarry.

From its quick succession only opening in March this year, they have already secured a second location in the Merseyside area in the world famous Liverpool docks and are in the process of creating more games for this location.

Other locations worldwide, have also been in contact to hold Scuba Escape as a franchise, including Germany, Poland and Canada, which is something currently being explored.

Within the short space of 8 months of being released, the business has gone from strength to strength and continues to successfully grow through continued innovation of the creators.

Wish them good luck for the 25th of November when the winner will be announced at the Go North Wales Tourism Awards ceremony!
