Sick photos of couple on beach demeaning dolphin’s body goes viral on Facebook

The images below came to me via Facebook here.

At first I thought it was a joke but very quickly realised that it was real. I can only assume the Dolphin is dead and was washed up on the beach. That fact however would not negate the wealth of poor taste and ignorance displayed by the people in the shot.

When we are at a crossroads in our society’s evolution concerning our perception of other sentient species, I am greatly saddened to see this kind of behaviour from so called intelligent human beings. We continually set ourselves above all other species on this planet as being superior intellectually as well as spiritually and yet I have never witnessed or heard of any other species getting pleasure from the degradation of another as I appear to be seeing here.
