The True Blue Bay Boutique resort in Grenada recently hosted a group of divers from the Scuba Trust – the charity promoting scuba diving for all abilities including divers with disabilities.

True Blue Bay worked with Aquanauts Grenada, which has a dive shop at the resort, to provide accommodation and two weeks of diving for the group that included wheelchair users.

The Aquanauts Grenada dive centre is located at the marina at True Blue Bay with divers able to enter the boat from a safe dock. From the dock is it just a few minutes boat ride to Grenada’s dive sites that offer variety for all levels of divers from beginner to advanced. Dive experiences range from shallow coral gardens and shipwrecks to beautiful reefs, including the world’s first under water sculpture park.

True Blue Bay has five bedrooms that are disabled friendly and wheelchair accessible. All rooms at the resort are spacious with kitchenette facilities and have verandahs or balconies with views of the sparkling waters of True Blue Bay. The resort also features two restaurants, a bar, two swimming pools, fitness centre, spa and yoga studio.

Here is a video of the group enjoying some of the diving that Grenada has to offer:
