BARE Launches Evoke Women’s Wetsuit with Graphene Technology
BARE has introduced the Evoke, a new women’s wetsuit featuring Graphene Technology designed to provide increased warmth for divers in colder water.
The wetsuit incorporates a carbon nanostructure lining that is designed to capture and retain body heat, helping to keep divers warmer throughout their time in the water. According to BARE, laboratory testing showed an average 5°C (41°F) increase in warmth compared with its original OMNIRED Technology.
The Evoke has been developed specifically around the needs and fit of women divers. BARE’s all-female design team worked on the suit with the aim of creating a fit that reflects the bodies of women who dive, while maintaining the flexibility needed for movement underwater.
At the heart of the Evoke is BARE’s Graphene Technology, which forms part of the company’s UltraWarmth approach to thermal protection. The graphene lining is intended to help retain the diver’s body heat, with particular attention given to insulation around the core.
For women who regularly dive in colder conditions, maintaining warmth can be an important part of staying comfortable underwater. The Evoke has been designed to combine thermal protection with a fit intended specifically for female divers, rather than adapting a men’s suit pattern.
BARE’s reported 5°C improvement comes from the company’s own laboratory testing, comparing the new Graphene Technology with its original OMNIRED Technology.
The Evoke is now available as part of BARE’s range of women’s diving wetsuits.
