Four Divers Found Alive After Overnight Search in Indonesia

Four Divers Found Alive After Overnight Search in Indonesia

Four divers have been found safe after spending the night at sea when they became separated from their dive boat off Flores, Indonesia.

The group went missing while diving in waters around Komodo National Park, prompting a major search involving local rescue teams, boats and other agencies.

After hours in the water, all four divers were located alive the following morning and brought to safety.

Strong currents are a well-known feature of diving around Komodo, where tidal movement between the islands can create fast-moving and unpredictable conditions.

The successful rescue brings a welcome conclusion to the overnight search and serves as a reminder of the importance of surface signalling equipment when diving in areas affected by strong currents.
