Zeagle Onyx II Regulator Designed for Cold-Water Diving
The Zeagle Onyx II regulator has been designed for divers who regularly find themselves in cooler water, combining an environmentally sealed first stage with adjustable breathing performance and a lightweight construction.
The Onyx II is built around a balanced first stage with five low-pressure and two high-pressure ports. Its dry environmental seal is designed to help protect the first stage, while Zeagle says its internal structure allows air to flow directly through the first stage, reducing turbulence.
A precision high-pressure valve is also used in the first stage, which Zeagle says provides increased reliability and service life compared with conventional designs, while improving responsiveness across different breathing rates.
The second stage features a downstream valve, balanced diaphragm, Dive/Pre-Dive Venturi control and diver-adjustable breathing sensitivity. It also has a compact profile and an anodised aluminium heat sink.
Weighing 1.25kg, the Onyx II is available in both DIN and Yoke configurations, giving divers a choice of connection to suit their existing equipment. It also comes with a braided hose.
Zeagle positions the Onyx II particularly towards divers who regularly encounter cooler water, making its environmentally sealed design a relevant feature for divers exploring colder-water environments.
