Women Divers Hall of Fame awards 2021 training grants and scholarships
The Women Divers Hall of Fame™ (WDHOF®) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring and raising awareness of the contributions of outstanding women divers. WDHOF provides educational, financial, career and mentorship opportunities to the diving community throughout the world.
Each year, WDHOF awards scholarships and training grants that provide financial and educational support to individuals of all ages, particularly those who are preparing for professional careers that involve diving.
The Women Divers Hall of Fame scholarships and training grants are awarded yearly in the spring. The program began in 2002 with three scholarships. This year WDHOF had a record number of applications and awarded nearly $70,000 to 47 individuals who are passionate about our water planet and looking to grow in their knowledge and skills.

In a celebration of International Women’s Day 2021, which took place yesterday 8th March, WDHOF also announced a competitive grant of $5,000 for women conducting research on the sustainability of marine or freshwater species or communities impacted by climate change. This grant is made possible by a donation from Dutch fashion brand Scotch & Soda, as a tribute to the French sea explorer Simone Melchior Cousteau for her numerous achievements in underwater exploration.
