The BiG Scuba Podcast… with Marcus Greatwood

First in a new series of podcasts shared by our friends Gemma and Ian aka The BiG Scuba Podcast…

This episode of the Big Scuba Podcast features Gemma and Ian chatting  to Marcus Greatwood. He is a freediver and a Senior Coach at NoTanx club.  Marcus started freediving in 1999, Loic Leferme said to him “you have to start a club – great things only happen when you have a group of people to make them happen.” Since then NoTanx has enabled a lot of people to interact with the Oceans & Lakes. Marcus says freediving always comes back to enjoying where you are at that moment – underwater, weightless, timeless – and that feeling is accessible by everyone.

Freediving is the art of moving efficiently underwater on a single breath. The NoTanx training system has, at its core, a focus on enjoyment and relaxation. Techniques start with awareness and are suitable for everyone.  The health benefits are innumerable and can relieve asthma, stress and panic attacks.  Training with NoTanx can gain improvements in other activities like scuba, triathlons, Brazilian jiujitsu, Golf and more.
