New Liability Insurance Programme

SSI and the DiveAssure Association have announced another big step in their global business cooperation. As of January 2018, DiveAssure will be entrusted with running the liability insurance program for SSI Dive Centers, Resorts and Professionals.

The liability insurance plan that was previously offered to SSI Dive Centres through AIG will no longer be available after December 31st, 2017. The new program takes over as of January 1st, 2018 with a new policy issued by CNA Hardy – one of the largest insurance corporations in the world. The new liability policy terms will be pretty much the same as those of the already known AIG policy. Policy limit will be €20 million per claim and €40 million aggregate – by far; the highest level of coverage in the industry, while rates will still be very competitive.

The DiveAssure plans are annual and can be purchased any time throughout the year. Unlike the outgoing program, the new plan will be available also to non-SSI Dive Centres and to individual diving professionals. Information and registration will be available online as of December 1st, 2017 with effective date starting January 1st, 2018.
