SSI announce a new partner in the Maldives

SSI have announced the arrival of a new partner, Mare Scuba Concept in Male, which promises to be a revolution in scuba diving in the Maldives.

The 6th September saw the grand opening of the Mare Scuba Concept which, as well as becoming part of the SSI team, is also a Swim School International service center partnered with many prominent scuba and watersports brands such as Mares, Head Swimming, Ocean Reef, Intova, GoPro, Ecomoana and Cardiac Science. It also has a one-stop online shop coming soon which promises to offer maximum convenience to all clients.

The new SSI centre provides educational products, certification, first-rate customer service, top-of-the-range equipment, crossover courses, freediving instructor and trainer courses, business courses and ODIN support. Mare Scuba Concept is run by Jean-Claude Monachon, who is in charge of Sales and Marketing and has been an SSI board member since April 2014, and Marco Gervasi, who has over 20 years experience in the diving industry and is the SSI-Mares Area Manager and an expert on the SSI curriculum. Joining them is Daniel Hawkes, the Instructor Certifier and SSI Area Manager for East Thailand who has been actively involved with SSI’s expansion in the Maldives and has created brilliant Instructor training programs for all clients. In the store, General Manager Hassan Rasheed and Sales Assistant Ali Aboobakuru are ready to help with their wealth of knowledge and experience in the diving industry.
