Solent University Sub-Aqua Club scoops top award

Solent University Sub-Aqua Club

BSACAt a packed Southampton Solent University awards ceremony, Solent University Sub-Aqua Club won no less than five individual awards. The sub-aqua table were stunned towards the end of the evening when – competing against 50 other very successful and winning sports clubs – they were named Solent University Club of the Year 2016.

Tony Husband from BBC South Today who was presenting said “Sub-Aqua keeps on winning” which the club has said was too good not to be adopted as the club’s new slogan!

At the event the high-flying club also presented a cheque for £3,000 by James Ravilious, the Club Chair, to the Hampshire and IOW Ambulance representative Ray Southam. The funds were raised at the club’s 24hr Diveathon held at Andark Diving earlier in the year.
