scubawhere secures investment from Jamie Murray Wells OBE, founder of Glasses Direct
scubawhere have announced that they have secured investment from Jamie Murray Wells OBE, who will be joining the company’s board of directors as a Non-Executive Director.
Jamie founded and launched Glasses Direct whilst studying at the University of the West of England in 2003. He grew Glasses Direct to ship prescription glasses to over 50 countries, employing over 150 people. It became Europe’s largest online glasses retailer.
In 2013, Jamie successfully exited Glasses Direct and joined Google UK as Head of Industry, Retail.

scubawhere was founded by Thomas Paris whilst studying at the University of the West of England and fellow Computer Scientist, Bryan Kneis. The business offers global scuba diving centres a web-based platform. It helps to manage their customer reservations and e-mail marketing campaigns more efficiently and productively. The business currently has a number of users based on 2 continents and is growing extremely quickly.
