Scuba diving Pen Llŷn, Wales – Shallow Shores by Night (Watch Video)
Second in a series of short video clips highlighting the many treasures of the Welsh coast…
During the day many of the species are found hidden within the sand along the shores of the South Llŷn Peninsula. However, when darkness occurs sandy habitats come alive with many species found swimming around in order to capture their next meal. Looking up from the sand there are also numerous interesting species, one species, in particular, stands out as its alienlike with its flashing neon colours, the sea Gooseberry which is a species of Comb Jelly. When diving at night you are never sure what species you will come across next.
