Saeed Rashid Joins Scubaverse as Underwater Photography Editor
Scubaverse.com is delighted to announce that acclaimed underwater photographer and educator Saeed Rashid has joined the team as our new Underwater Photography Editor.
Saeed brings with him a wealth of experience from the worlds of photography, diving, and education. A senior lecturer at Bournemouth University, he teaches photography, journalism, and media, guiding students to develop strong creative and technical skills. He’s also a passionate diver and works closely with industry-leading brands like Fourth Element and Suunto.
Beyond his academic and commercial work, Saeed serves as one of the European Coordinators for the Our World-Underwater Scholarship Society, helping young people pursue careers in marine science, conservation, and exploration. Through his company, Focus Visuals, Saeed runs popular underwater photography workshops, and he’s also part of the team behind the prestigious Underwater Photographer of the Year competition.
His vibrant images of marine life and underwater environments have been featured in numerous diving and photography publications around the globe, often used to promote ocean conservation and inspire a deeper connection to the underwater world.
“I’m really excited to be joining Scubaverse as their Photography Editor,” Saeed says. “Over the years, I’ve worked across several publications, and I’ve always admired what Scubaverse has achieved. Dave has consistently been a driving force in the industry, and I’m looking forward to this new chapter. I’ll be bringing along a mix of familiar names and fresh talent, who we’ll be introducing to you over the coming days. Together, we’ll make a fantastic team and bring you some truly exciting content.”
As the founder of Scubaverse, Dave Alexander is thrilled to welcome Saeed on board:
“Saeed’s experience, creativity, and standing in both the diving and photography communities make him the perfect person to lead our new photography team. I’ve admired his work for years and am genuinely excited to see what he and his team bring to the table.”
Stay tuned as we introduce the rest of the new Scubaverse Photography Team throughout the week.
