Philippines Dive Centre launches donations page for locals affected by Typhoon Haiyan

The owners of Thresher Shark Divers, a dive centre based on Bounty Beach, Malapascua Island, have launched a donations page for local people who have lost their homes due to the devastation caused by Super Typhoon Haiyan.

Andrea and Trevor Agarwal, who are originally from the UK, are focusing on providing locals with emergency supplies including food and water.

“We are already rebuilding and starting to put our lives back together”, said Andrea. “Whilst we sustained significant damage in some areas, our diving ops luckily remained pretty much intact, and we expect to be up and running by the end of the month.”

Andrea will be posting regular updates on the situation in Malapascua on the Thresher Shark Divers Facebook page, which you can find here.
