NUPG October Meeting Report

October saw Wetpixel owner, Adam Hanlon, come to speak to club members about “Creative Macro”. Initially the talk covered the need to find ways to create pleasing macro images without harassing or disturbing the photographic subjects. Adam then covered photographic techniques such as camera angle, camera settings, lighting, toys (lenses & snoots) as well as the importance of the team working with the photographer and behind the scenes. Adam showed us loads of wonderful macro images from around the world, initiating discussion on why soe work better than others and really inspired the group to go out and try some of his suggested techniques. It was an excellent presentation.
