Siren Diving, the UK’s newest PADI dive centre, was officially opened in Romsey, Hampshire this week by local Councillor Peter Giddings. Siren Diving, owned by Suze Perks and Dave Hart, offers recreational, technical and rebreather diver training through both PADI and IANTD. “This allows someone to progress their diver training with us – whichever way their interests take them, we want to be able to help them achieve their diving goals and be the best diver that they can be,” Suze explains.

“We love diving and teaching others and we decided the time was right to set up on our own. Dave and I have both worked as instructors for other companies over the past few years, but wanted to run our own diving centre to enable us to teach in the way that we feel gives students the best diving experience,” adds Suze.

Siren Diving offers escorted diving holidays through Scuba Travel and gives students the option to do their training courses abroad, either on Liveaboards or on shore based holidays. As well as equipment servicing, air, nitrox and trimix fills, Siren Diving retails a wide range of both recreational and technical equipment from some of the leading manufacturers, many of whom attended the opening to show their support.

Amongst the attendees were also some of Siren Diving’s students. One student commented: “Dave and Suze always exceed my expectations on courses, using their knowledge and experience to make me feel more comfortable in the water. I would highly recommend them to any diver, from novice to experienced.”
