New coral regeneration project launched at Buddha View Dive Resort in Koh Tao, Thailand

Lee Sparkes, a former Divemaster at  Buddha View Dive Resort in Koh Tao, Thailand, is putting his training and background to great effect by introducing a coral regeneration project at the resort.

The first floor of the resort’s IDC centre has been transformed into a living laboratory, with water tanks and lights bringing life to collected frags of coral.  These regenerated corals will be reintroduced to the Koh Tao reefs, and will help to sustain healthy and vibrant coral reef systems around Koh Tao.

You have the opportunity to participate by joining a one day training course with Lee, or by combining the course with either your divemaster, instructor or MSDT internship on Koh Tao. To find out more, visit the Dive-careers.com conservation section here.
