MV Leo crew and guests save turtle on ‘Best of the Maldives’ trip

A turtle that had become entangled in a net was saved by crew and guests on board MV Leo recently. Whilst enjoying the trip, ‘Best of the Maldives’, the crew saw the distressed turtle and gently lifted it from the water to be able to carefully cut away the lines.

“The dive site was Fesdu Lagoon and this was, thankfully, a rare event as nets are not common in the Maldives,” explained Constellation Fleet Managing Director, Alex Bryant.

Guests, who helped Assistant Captain Rauf and crew, were relieved to help return the turtle to the ocean to continue his journey.
