Join a Shark Tagging Trip in Florida with the Guy Harvey Research Institute and Nova Southeastern University
Join expert researchers on a full day boating adventure filled with memories of a lifetime. Participants help assemble fishing equipment, bait hooks, and place gear in the water. Once a shark is caught, the research team will secure the shark and then guests will be able to measure and tag the animal, collect samples of tissue and even take photos with the shark before it is released safely back into the water.
During the research trip, guests may encounter a variety of shark species such as nurse, blacknose, lemon, sandbar, Atlantic sharpnose, great Hammerhead, tigers, bull sharks and more. Trips leave from the beautiful Nova Southeastern University Oceanographic Center in Dania Beach, Florida. Trips are dependent on weather conditions, and there is an 8 year old minimum age for participants. Cost is $150 per person and is a one hundred percent tax deduction.
Send an email to Dori@SharkWhisperer.org to reserve your spot ASAP as the April 5th trip has only 14 spots left and there is only room for 20 participants for the May 16th trip.
