JDScuba travel to Nusa Penida and the Gilis during the rise of the Covid-19 Pandemic: Part Two (Watch Video)

Part two of the vlog from our new contributors Jake and Giovana aka JDScuba!

Staying in a hut within the trees on the quiet idyllic island of Gili Meno. Only a short bike ride to the dive center makes it the perfect location. We explored the range of sites around Gili Meno with Blue Marlin Meno, revealing the huge amount of diversity found within the region from Critically Endangered Hawksbill turtles to the remarkable Broadclub cuttlefish.

Snorkeling amongst the shallow seagrass beds also provides unforgettable moments with calming green Turtles. From there we headed to Nusa Penida where we stayed in a beach hut. Nusa involved perfect drift dives, heart-racing cliff walks, and diving with the majestic ocean giants, Manta Rays.

Jake grew up on Pen Llŷn, North Wales and from a young age, the underwater world and marine life have played a major role in his life. He's a marine biologist and an underwater videographer who aims to share the range of marine life and habitats found beneath the waves. Giovana trained as a professional dancer/actress/singer in London. She is also a personal trainer, scuba diver and L1 skydiver.
