Great White breaches shark cage with diver inside (watch video)
Cage goes in the water, you go in the water. Shark’s in the water…. then shark joins you in the cage.
Today is clearly a day for cage diving nightmare news (see today’s previous post which features the trailer to new Hollywood shark horror movie ‘Cage Dive’ here).
A video uploaded to YouTube yesterday shows a Great White breaching a shark cage in waters off Guadalupe Island in Mexico. At first, the people on the boat watching the event are unclear as to whether there is anyone in the cage or not when the shark enters.
The shark, which is clearly injured from its ordeal, eventually frees itself from the cage. It’s impossible to see inside due to the water being all foamy from the shark’s desperate attempts to escape. After what seems like an eternity (it’s only a few seconds), a diver emerges from the frothy water, shaken but seemingly unhurt.
Although the video was uploaded to YouTube yesterday, it is unclear when the incident occurred.
