Going Deep with Seaspiracy: A Discussion with the Filmmakers and Dr. Sylvia Earle

On May 25th, Dr. Sylvia A. Earle is sitting down with Seaspiracy filmmakers Ali and Lucy Tabrizi to continue the conversation about the devastating impacts of extracting ocean wildlife on an industrial scale. They will be joined by international ocean policy expert Max Bello and marine conservation biologist Dr. Callum Roberts, with Will Travis from Elevation Barn moderating and leading the discussion.

Seaspiracy has shocked millions of viewers by shining a blinding light on the ugly truths inherent in the global industrial fishing industry. The film also shows how humanity’s fish-eating habits are fueling widespread and catastrophic destruction of the ocean. As it climbed to Netflix’s coveted Top Ten list, the documentary stirred controversy and invigorated environmentally-minded people to take action. For many, this documentary has changed the way we see the ocean, our eating habits and our perception of the global industrial fishing industry that previously has not been so thoroughly scrutinized on such a widespread, public level.

There will be a Q&A at the end of the webinar, where the panel will take questions that are submitted by the public on the Zoom registration page in advance of the broadcast.
