Get ready for the Nautical Archaeology Conference 2013

This year’s annual Nautical Archaeology Society (NAS) Conference will bring together professional and amateur archaeologists to discuss and share ideas on maritime and nautical archaeology from 2 to 3 November 2013.

The conference, being held at the UK University of Portsmouth’s Langstone Campus, will also stage numerous exhibitors, a Project Poster display, the annual Adopt-A-Wreck Award, Keith Muckelroy Award and the NAS Annual General Meeting.

Confirmed speakers for the first day of the conference includes Dr Johan Rönnby, Södertörn University, who will talk on ‘Mars the Miraculous’. Dr Damien Robinson, Oxford Centre for Maritime Archaeology, will speak on Ship 43 and the graveyard in the central basin of Thonis-Heracleion, Egypt.

The second day of the conference will be a VIP tour to the new Mary Rose Museum with NAS Vice President, Christopher Dobbs.
