In this exclusive video for Scubaverse.com, Jeff Goodman sits down with Pablo Camino and Rafa Martos, the founders of Be Aquatic, a project born from a shared passion for the sea, diving, and sustainable tourism.

As professional divers and underwater explorers, they have dedicated more than 20 years to creating diving guides and documenting the underwater heritage of the Spanish coastline. Throughout their careers, they have mapped and studied more than 300 diving sites along the coast of Spain, combining technical expertise with a strong commitment to environmental awareness and tourism development.

Their work goes beyond diving: it is focused on promoting marine destinations in a responsible and sustainable way. At Be Aquatic, their mission is to support coastal communities through tourism promotion, helping diversify tourism activities beyond the summer season while encouraging respect for marine ecosystems. Their guides and underwater maps are designed not only for divers, but also as tools for education, conservation, and local economic growth.

In addition to their fieldwork, Pablo and Rafa have developed their own technological tool that allows the creation of underwater maps in a simple and accessible way, without the need for graphic designers or software developers. Jeff Goodman

Jeff is a multiple award winning, freelance TV cameraman/film maker and author. Having made both terrestrial and marine films, it is the world's oceans and their conservation that hold his passion with over 10.000 dives in his career. Having filmed for international television companies around the world and author of two books on underwater filming, Jeff is Author/Programme Specialist for the 'Underwater Action Camera' course for the RAID training agency. Jeff has experienced the rapid advances in technology for diving as well as camera equipment and has also experienced much of our planet’s marine life, witnessing, first hand, many of the changes that have occurred to the wildlife and environment during that time. Jeff runs bespoke underwater video and editing workshops for the complete beginner up to the budding professional.
