DEMA Shares Ways to Support Hurricanes Helene & Milton Relief Efforts
DEMA has shared a press release detailing ways in which you can help support communities who have been affected by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton:
“Our hearts go out to those affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, which have caused widespread devastation, taking precious lives and destroying homes, businesses, and entire towns throughout the Southeast. The impact has shaken the very core of these communities.
Below are a few ways our community can support those affected by these disasters.

CHOOSE A CHARITY
Charity Navigator is a helpful website that can help you discover highly rated charities that are actively providing relief and recovery to those impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Browse charities for HURRICANE HELENE and HURRICANE MILTON.
NATIONAL VOLUNTARY ORGANIZATIONS ACTIVE IN DISASTER (VOAD)
National VOAD Members and Partners are currently assisting communities in need due to the impact of Hurricanes Helene and Milton throughout the Southeast United States. National VOAD members and Partners will continue to serve these communities as long as necessary. RED CROSS
Nearly 500 disaster workers are on the ground helping with hundreds more on their way. The Red Cross has also deployed numerous emergency response vehicles to help where needed. When it is safe to do so, Red Cross disaster responders will travel throughout affected communities, assessing the damage and distributing meals and relief supplies.
