OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAMaria Harwood and Martin Smudge Smith have recently passed the grade for the highest BSAC Instructor qualification.

The BSAC National Instructor Exam assesses candidates’ instructional skills over four days and 23 separate component elements.

National Diving Officer, Jeff Reed, congratulated this year’s successful candidates:

“To be a National Instructor whilst deliberately challenging takes an incredible amount of dedication and hard work allied with family support and endurance. The weather in 2014 proved to be kinder than encountered in recent years, aside from torrential rainfall!

“For the candidates who passed the grade this year it is particularly pleasing to pass on my congratulations to them, but I would also like to congratulate and thank all who took part in the exam and contributed to the team effort and success of the exam.”
