Black Manta Photography’s Richard Stevens to tackle Tough Mudder race for shark charity

Scubaverse contributor and self-confessed shark nut Richard Stevens is running his second Tough Mudder event this Saturday 23rd September, raising funds for The Shark Trust charity in memory of Nigel Wade.

Many of those involved in the dive industry will remember Nigel Wade well. As Richard says: “Nigel was a talented professional photographer both above and below water who I had the pleasure of diving with on a few occasions. Nigel was an infectious person who had a gazillion friends – it was impossible to have met him and not fall in love with his personality, wit and charm – a legend to many, who sadly passed away at home in the U.K. earlier this year. He was also a big supporter of The Shark Trust.”

The Shark Trust, based in the UK, works globally to protect threatened species, secure sustainably managed fisheries and encourage responsible trade. They work in partnership with others to achieve positive, pragmatic solutions to the challenges faced by sharks and their relatives.

Richard and his partner Hayley run Black Manta Photography.
