Beneath the Surface: An exhibition of chalkstream wildlife by Paul Colley
Paul Colley CB OBE ARPS is an award winning underwater photographer who has thrown himself into photographing the wonderful wildlife that can be found in the UK’s chalk streams. The project saw Paul designing and building his own camera housings and creating ways of firing the cameras whilst sitting on the river bank. The images on display are a triumph of both underwater photography and engineering.
The exhibition is being held between the 3rd and 29th May 2016 at Whitchurch Silk Mill in Hampshire. However, we would recommend that you go along on the evening of 11th May to hear Paul speak about the project and his underwater photography, in addition to taking in the exhibition.
The images in this exhibition are already winning underwater photography competitions around the globe and Paul has just won the prestigious British Waters Compact category of the Underwater Photography of the Year competition.
Paul, author of “Wining Images”, is also the new chair of the British Society of Underwater Photographers. Paul is passionate about conservation and uses his photography to highlight problems in his waters at home in the UK and in far flung destinations overseas.
