Alex Mustard awarded with MBE

Underwater photographer Alex Mustard has been awarded the Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the Queen’s Birthday Honors list for services to underwater photography.

Upon hearing the news, Alex took to his Facebook page where he wrote: “Delighted and shocked to become an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours for my underwater photography. 15 years ago I made the difficult decision to leave science and do photography full time and it was a tough first few years, which makes this especially rewarding.”
