Aggressor Adventures Supports Global Shark Conservation

great white snapshot

Aggressor Adventures® is proud to announce its partnership with the Shark Trust’s Great Shark Snapshot, a global citizen science initiative aimed at gathering essential data on shark and ray populations around the world. Running July 20–28, 2025, the program encourages divers and snorkelers to record and report sightings of sharks and rays to help support long-term conservation efforts.

As a leader in liveaboard scuba diving and eco-adventure travel, Aggressor Adventures is uniquely positioned to contribute valuable observations from its fleet of yachts exploring the world’s most shark-rich waters. Guests aboard Aggressor liveaboards during the week-long event will have the opportunity to participate by logging sightings of various shark and ray species. These records will help researchers build a global picture of species distribution and abundance.

“This is a meaningful way for our guests to get involved with shark conservation while doing what they love,” said Wayne Brown, CEO of Aggressor Adventures. “By contributing real-time data from some of the planet’s most remote and biodiverse marine ecosystems, we are helping protect these incredible animals for future generations.”

The Great Shark Snapshot, organized by UK-based Shark Trust, provides an easy-to-use platform for divers to submit sightings, even when no sharks are seen—every data point counts. The initiative also helps raise awareness about the importance of sharks in healthy marine ecosystems and the urgent need for conservation action.
