ONE WAY TICKET: Book 9 of 9 of the Jack Collier Series by Fred Lockwood

Jack Collier

A book review by Jeff Goodman

Jack CollierInteresting book. Fred obviously knows and researches his subject very well. Nicely written with interesting characters. It’s a story that develops into a totally unexpected scenario. Just when you think you know were the story is going it changes direction and evolves into something else. Which is good. Keeps the mind active.

Fred writes about ships being used to ferry illegal emigrants to the UK. The clever plans set in motion by the gangs to avoid UK boarder Force detection. We learn of the moving story of Jamal, one of the immigrants who has paid a fortune for the trip. The cruelty and unpassionate traffickers.

Fred takes us on a diving mission in the English Channel to recover millions of Pounds Sterling worth of diamonds after rebellious immigrants threw a merciless trafficker carrying them overboard.

Then suddenly we are in the world of illegal Russian oil fleets and Italian crime syndicates.

It’s a well thought out and clever tale.
