Equipment Review: Zelos Swordfish (Watch Video)

Are you a diver looking for a great wristwatch but not sure what to choose from all of the mainstream brands? Well, look no further; if you want a smart, stylish and robust wristwatch for everyday purposes – yet want to keep that nautical theme – then you need to be checking out the recently released Zelos Swordfish v2.

This full-on diver’s watch has a depth rating of 300m/1000ft, so perfect to accompany you both above and below the water. It even has a cool expansion clasp that allows the stainless steel strap to expand to fit over a wetsuit if you wanted to use it as a timepiece to support you on your dives.

The Zelos Swordfish arrives in a beautiful wooden box, all safe and secure in a leather watch roll with suede strap.

Inside you will find your Zelos Swordfish watch with stainless steel strap, a vintage effect horween leather strap, and the steel warranty card.

The watch case is 42mm across and 13mm thick, and the watch face is made from sapphire crystal which is much tougher than the more common mineral crystal faces, and virtually impossible to scratch.

The bezel insert has a 120 click rotation which feels strong and firm with no back movement, and has a brushed finish which comes fully lumed – as does the dial. The dial itself is textured and available in many options of colours and finishes.

The crown carries the Zelos logo, but it’s the rear of the watch that really sets it apart from the others with the embossed image of a swordfish – it’s unlike anything we’ve come across before, and looks fantastic!

For more information on the Swordfish range, and to view the Mako, Hammerhead and Great White models, check out Zelos Watches, or for European sales visit Serious Watches.

One thing for sure is you will definitely stand out from the crowd with one of these on your arm!
