This one-of-a-kind iOS app helps users create a custom travel itinerary based on the marine wildlife they want to see at the specific time of year. The app then determines the geographic locations where the chosen marine life is most likely to be spotted. Besides being a powerful tool for trip planning, Scuba Calendar inspires a spirit of conservation by including interesting information and facts about each animal. This includes each animals’ status under the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species and its classification under CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora). Scuba Calendar is available for download on the App Store.
In addition to creating customized scuba trips, Scuba Calendar serves as a social platform for divers all around the world to contribute as citizen scientists. They can report on their own sightings, share photos and log the environmental situation of the dive site (such as marine debris, corals in distress, etc.) for collective data purposes. The Scuba Calendar app was developed by a husband and wife team who are passionate about scuba diving, traveling and environmental conservation. They want to share that enthusiasm with other divers whether novice or advanced.
“Our years of trip planning and first-hand experiences in the scuba world contributed to creating Scuba Calendar,” explains Katarina Grgas Brus, co-developer of Scuba Calendar. “So many people may have their dream vacation in mind but not have the logistical data available to determine just where and when the ideal conditions are.”
Scuba Calendar includes over 400 locations across 70 countries and over 30 popular marine species. Once a country is selected, the Country Page shows types and locations of other marine life likely to be spotted in that country. It also includes valuable information like local diving regulations, environmental sustainability recommendations, hyperbaric chambers and typical weather conditions for specific times of the year.

The smart 3D cut and the pre-shaped arms and legs not only ensure flexibility and a perfect fit, but also help you slip into the suit with ease. Cuffs on the arms and legs guarantee perfect sealing, which is further enhanced by the flap on the back zipper.
Zippers at the wrists and ankles provide additional comfort and ensure easy donning and doffing. The small neck zipper adds another layer of comfort.
The neoprene ribs in the back of the knees and crook of the arms are unique. The clever concept ensures optimum comfort when bending the arms or legs.
Shoulder and knee protectors protect the suit in high-wear areas. The small computer safety strap holds the device in place. The SP suit series is available for men and women in 5 & 7mm and offers a wide range of sizes including numerous intermediate sizes.
Every day, DYNAMICNORD works to keep its environmental impact as low as possible. Only the best available neoprene is used for the SP series of neoprene suits. It goes without saying that the neoprene is made from limestone. It is sourced from nature and has less negative impact on the environment. Furthermore, Carbon Black, one of the main components of neoprene, is pyrolysed from used tires. This reduces energy consumption and cuts CO₂ emissions by 200 grams per neoprene suit. Innovative dyeing machines reduce water and energy consumption during production by 60%.
