New BSAC pool share scheme to help clubs
In recent years many BSAC clubs have struggled to keep their pools, mainly due to costs and closures. This can have a negative impact on training and ultimately the sustainability of the club and so a new scheme has been launched to help clubs in that position.
In essence the initiative aims to ‘match’ clubs that can help each other. Some clubs need access to a pool and others could do with boosting club funds to help cover pool costs. So, BSAC has added a new option to the club Find it Tool on bsac.com called ‘Pool Share’ to enable clubs without pools to contact clubs with pools that are happy to share. Any arrangement will then be at the discretion of the clubs involved.
Don’t have a pool but would like access to one?
Visit www.bsac.com/findaclub and search for a club in your area by first ticking the ‘Pool Share’ box in the Advanced search section. Contact any clubs that are in the scheme to see if you can come to an arrangement.
Have a pool and want to opt in?
Your club can opt into this scheme by contacting the membership team at membership@bsac.com or by calling 0151 350 6201. They will then update your club profile online so other clubs and members know they could use your pool (under your terms). More information can be found at www.bsac.com/poolshare, including guidance on letting agreements, insurance cover and charging options.
