Changes to the Scubaverse team
It is with a great deal of sadness and regret that we announce today the departure of Stuart Philpott as Scubaverse.com’s Underwater Photography Editor.
Due to other commitments, Stuart feels he can no longer offer the role of UWP editor the commitment it requires, and has sadly made the difficult decision to step down.
In his time in the role, Stuart has done a fantastic job, particularly as the judge of Scubaverse.com’s monthly underwater photo contests. Each month, Stuart has tirelessly given hints, tips and advice to every entrant on every photo they have entered, and has been enormously positive and encouraging in the process.
But although Stuart will be leaving the role of Underwater Photography editor behind, he will not be leaving Scubaverse completely; he will be taking on the role of Editor-at-Large, and will still be contributing the occasional article on a wide variety of diving and marine conservation-related subjects.
Everyone at Scubaverse would like to thank Stuart for his efforts as Scubaverse.com’s Underwater Photography editor and we look forward to seeing more from Stuart as our new Editor-at-Large.
But every cloud has a silver lining. The Scubaverse team are extremely excited to announce that taking over the role of Underwater Photography Editor is husband and wife team Nick & Caroline Robertson-Brown from Frogfish Photography.
Nick and Caroline already contribute to the Underwater Photography section on Scubaverse.com; if you are a regular visitor to the site, you have no doubt seen their series S.U.P.E.R. (Scubaverse Underwater Photography Equipment Reviews) and their new series ‘Underwater Photography Essentials’, which offers tips, ideas and advice to budding underwater photographers.
Nick and Caroline both have degrees in environmental biology from Manchester University, with Caroline also having a masters in animal behaviour. Nick is a fellow of the Royal Photographic Society in underwater wildlife photography and he also has a masters in teaching. They are passionate about marine conservation and hope that their images can inspire people to look after the world’s seas and oceans.
The Scubaverse team would like to give Nick and Caroline a very warm welcome into their new role. We are so excited to see the direction they take the Underwater Photography section in, and we hope you are too!
