Solmar V Liveaboard’s Call For Help: Hurricane Odile Baja Relief

As you may have heard, Hurricane Odile crashed into the Mexican peninsula of Baja earlier this week. The Category 3 hurricane reached 125 MPH winds and caused widespread damage throughout the region. It’s the worst storm to hit the area in more than 50 years.

The Solmar V liveaboard is raising funds to help provide water filters to the more than 250,000 Baja residents left without fresh water and electricity. Partnering with Waves for Water, they are asking for donations to help purchase as many water filters as possible.

“We are inviting everyone who has enjoyed the beauty of Baja to contribute to this project. We are especially reaching out to the international scuba industry for your support in responding to this crisis,” explains the fundraising website.

Any and all donations are very much appreciated. To donate, or for more information, visit the fundraising page.
