Shopping Online? Help the oceans at the same time!
Are you doing more shopping online? Did you know that you can raise money for marine charities at the same time? Here are a couple of ways that you can help the ocean with a simple click of your mouse.
For those that use Amazon, try using Smile Amazon instead – it is the same service, but by switching to Smile Amazon and selecting the charity you wish to support, 0.5% of the net purchase price will be donated to the charity of your choice.
Another simple way to ensure your online shopping helps the oceans is to sign up to Easy Fundraising and selecting a marine charity to support. A huge number of retailers give varying donations to your selected charities, so whether you are buying a flight to go diving or doing some DIY, you will be helping protect the ocean.
On both these sites I found that you could donate to popular UK-based marine charities such as Bite-Back, Marine Conservation Society, Project Seagrass, Sea Shepherd UK & The Shark Trust. I am sure there are plenty more if your favourite is not listed here.
These are tough times for charities with many of the big events, that raise huge amounts of money, being cancelled due to COVID19. However, if more people used these simple online shopping donation sites it could make a big difference. Helping the oceans could not be easier – make your online purchases count!
