liveaboard

DIVE WWUK-based tour operator Dive Worldwide is offering savings of £1,150 for a liveaboard trip aboard the M/V Argo to Costa Rica’s Cocos Island on holidays booked before the 31 October 2016.

The M/V Argo is a custom built liveaboard that is a rare combination of working ship and luxurious yacht. Designed for divers, its facilities include a large salon, a dining area, and eight spacious en-suite rooms, accommodating up to 16 guests. Operating up to four dives daily from the custom built skiffs, the boat also has space for individual gear storage, private camera/strobe shelves and individual charging points.

The magnificent and remote Cocos Island is considered to be one of the world’s finest liveaboard destinations. Lying 300 miles off the coast of Costa Rica, it has been consistently voted in the world’s top ten diving locations, and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. With a volcanic rock seabed, the outpost is a magnet for sharks, and divers can expect to see species including hammerheads, white tip sharks and silvertip, whilst eels and manta rays are frequent visitors. The water is also host to at least 27 endemic fish species, whilst Cocos Island itself displays a large array of plants and birdlife amongst its rocky terrain.
