Egypt’s Deep South: Where the Red Sea Still Feels Wild

Far from the well-traveled dive sites of Egypt’s northern Red Sea, a different kind of underwater adventure awaits. The Red Sea Aggressor V takes divers deep into one of the most remote and pristine regions of the Egyptian Red Sea, where vast reef systems, dramatic walls and extraordinary marine life create the feeling of discovering a world all your own.

Red Sea Aggressor V

Departing from Port Hamata, the 131-foot Red Sea Aggressor V is purpose-built for exploring this remote region in comfort and style. The seven-night Deep South itinerary alternates between two distinct routes: Zabargad & Rocky Islands and Elba Reef. Together, they offer access to hundreds of square miles of underwater habitat, including expansive coral reefs and areas that remain relatively unexplored.

Life beneath the surface is every bit as impressive as the scenery. Divers can encounter vibrant hard and soft corals, enormous schools of reef fish, sweeping drop-offs and the larger pelagic species that make the southern Red Sea famous. Recent Red Sea Aggressor V expeditions have recorded encounters with hammerhead sharks, oceanic manta rays, Napoleon wrasse, giant trevally, dogtooth tuna, moray eels, stingrays and an abundance of colorful reef life.

With up to three to five dives possible each day, conditions permitting, the itinerary is designed to maximize time underwater while allowing divers to experience the character of each remote reef system. Two 25-foot tenders, each powered by an 85-horsepower motor, provide access to dive sites away from the yacht, opening the door to a truly expansive exploration of the Deep South.

Above water, the Red Sea Aggressor V provides a comfortable base for the adventure, accommodating up to 26 guests across five decks. But it is the destination that remains the star. Here, the reefs are vast, the waters are clear and the sense of discovery is unmistakable.

For divers looking beyond the familiar, Egypt’s Deep South delivers the Red Sea in its wildest form—remote, vibrant and ready to be explored.

Testimonials

“Great crew and dive guides! Large rooms and amazing service (fresh towels, room was made after all dives, chocolate on the bed). The little details really showed that the crew cares about the guests. Fresh and WARM towels after every dive, spacious diving platform, driver who drove us from Hamata to HRG stopped for ice cream and cold water. Again: the little details! Honoring the “Iron Divers” at the Cocktail Party for not skipping a dive. It’s only a piece of plastic, but it brought us guests together and showed again that the crew cares and Aggressor thinks about how to show the guests a good time.”
