DAN announces new Enhanced Membership (Watch Video)
Divers Alert Network® is taking safety to another level. The organization has announced the introduction of Enhanced Membership, a new level of membership for dive and travel enthusiasts. Enhanced Membership includes all the benefits divers and travelers have come to expect from their DAN membership — plus higher coverage limits and a curated selection of additional benefits, including up to US$500,000 in emergency medical transportation and travel assistance benefits, a continuing subscription to the print edition of Alert Diver magazine, new global security evacuation coverage, new search and rescue coverage, and more.
“The needs of today’s adventure-seekers have led DAN to offer this higher level of coverage,” said DAN president and CEO Bill Ziefle. “As divers and travelers venture to remote parts of the world in search of pristine reefs, the costs of evacuation have risen sharply. Rather than increasing rates and benefits across the board — raising the cost of membership for all members — DAN has chosen to offer this new level of membership for those who wish to opt in.”
The print edition of Alert Diver magazine will become an exclusive benefit of Enhanced Membership. All members will continue to receive the print edition until they renew in 2022 and choose their membership level. Members who select Regular Membership can enjoy the digital editions of Alert Diver, available via DAN.org. The cost of Enhanced Membership is US$75 per year for individuals and US$100 for families. It is available in all US states except New York and is coming soon to Canada.
