Combine Scuba with Yoga at True Blue Bay in Grenada

Chanting ‘Om’ could be the answer for divers looking to improve their dive experience.  There is a consensus that yoga and scuba complement each other and now they have been brought together in a new Scuba Yoga programme from True Blue Bay Boutique resort in Grenada.

The first programme runs from 11 to 24 January 2016 incorporating a scuba session in the pool, open water dives, yoga and meditation.

With over 40 dive sites in clear waters, Grenada is increasingly popular with divers. The programme is being run in partnership with Aquanauts Grenada that has a dive shop on site at True Blue Bay, making it the perfect base for divers.

Scuba and yoga are the perfect match given the emphasis on the quality of breath and yoga is also beneficial in helping divers improve their confidence. The Prananyama yoga practice includes breathing exercises to strengthen lungs and improve breathing with continuity while meditation provides a positive mindset to ensure the best experience underwater.

Prices for a 7 night Scuba Yoga retreat start from US$1, 495 per person based on two adults sharing on a bed and breakfast basis, including the scuba yoga programme, a tour of an organic cocoa farm and return airport transfers. The package includes yoga props, tanks, weights, boats to dive sites, manual and certification. Flights are not included.
