CMAS – Underwater Photo and Video World Championship, Tenerife (Watch Winning Video)

The XVII World Championship of Underwater Photography and the III World Championship of Underwater Video, organized by the Spanish Underwater Federation (FEDAS) and the Canarias Underwater Federation (FEDECAS) was held in Tenerife, Spain from September 17th to 22nd 2019.

For the video section, I was asked to be one of five international judges to view and score the eight finalist’s videos. It was a great pleasure to do this as the overall standard of the videos were exceptional. As well as the high technical quality, the story, image and script pre-planning was of a good professional standard. I was particularly glad to see the strong emphasis on the conservation of our oceans.

The full Jury was:

  • Kay Burn Lim – President (Australia)
  • Lee Burghard (USA)
  • Alex Del Olmo (Spain)
  •
Jeff Goodman (UK)
  • Julie Quimet (Canada)
