More BSAC Regionally-organised Diver Training Days Announced for 2016 (Watch Video)

BSAC

A new initiative to support British Sub-Aqua clubs and members

A flurry of successful British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) training weekends to help members work towards or complete Diver Grade training have just taken place. The training days have been so popular more regions are getting involved and further dates have been added.

Hear from BSAC members in a short video from a recent Diver Training Day filmed at Stoney Cove Training Centre in Leicester:

Simon Loveday, a member of Putney BSAC attended a Training day with the Welsh Regional Team: “It is fantastic that BSAC is encouraging the regions to run these days. It was more than worth my time to attend, not only for the lessons I got signed off, but also to see how divers and instructors outside of my own branch approach diving skills and situations.” Read more here

When are the next Training Days?

Regional Teams are already planning for the next round of Diver Training Days in September and October 2016. They will help members work towards or complete their Diver Grade training, from Ocean Diver right up to Advanced Diver.

Visit www.bsac.com/trainingdays to find Training Days in your area.

The organisers will tailor the training to you

Book on to an event and (when prompted) let the organisers know which lessons you need to complete. This will ensure that students will get the most out of the training.

The Regional Teams will offer each student at least two open water lessons per day. It’s hoped that this will:

  1. Help to take some pressure off the branches that are short of instructors
  2. Offer a catch up opportunity for students who have missed their scheduled lessons
  3. Encourage networking between clubs

Take your Qualification Record Book (QRB) along with you so any lessons can be signed off.

If you have any questions about these new days email the Diving Resources Team at BSAC HQ drt@bsac.com or call them on 0151 350 6203.
