Bonaire TeK 2015 at Buddy Dive Resort a huge success

From the 10th – 24th October, Bonaire TeK 2015 took place at Buddy Dive Resort Bonaire and was once again a huge success. Tec divers from all over the world enjoyed 2 weeks of presentations, demo’s, workshops and diving with the pro’s.

This year Buddy Dive TeK partnered with the leaders of the tec diving industry. Contrary to previous years, 2015 was the year where all manufacturers and educational partners joined together to create one big, happy event committed to making tec diving accessible to everyone.

Manufacturers Dive Rite, SubGravity, HammerHead and Hollis gave equipment demos, and education partners GUE, NAUI,TDE, IANTD and PADI were offering try-out clinics and presentations. Every morning a dedicated tec diving boat went out, offering guests the opportunity to explore the deeper waters of Bonaire and to dive with the ‘big guys’ of technical diving.

German Arango, Buddy Dive TeK coordinator, said: “Bonaire TeK was a great success this year. It was great to see so many tec diving fanatics together. We have been working hard over the last few years to put Buddy Dive and Bonaire on the tec diving map and that is now starting to show. And we are happy to announce the dates for Bonaire TeK 2016 @ Buddy Dive: 8th – 14th October 2016!”

“At SubGravity the only thing we like more than building technical diving equipment is sharing our passion for technical diving with other divers. Bonaire TeK 2015 allowed us to share our passion, experience and equipment with divers of all levels from around the world. After taking someone underwater for the first time the next best thing is taking them on a rebreather or sidemount for the first time. Buddy Dive has full support for OC and CCR technical diving and makes an event like Bonaire TeK week a lot of fun.”  – Randy and Michael Thornton.
