Atmosphere Resorts and Spa’s Finathon raises $4,455 for sharks
When project Aware announced their Finathon this summer, where divers and dive centres raise money to save sharks by swimming as far as they can, Atmosphere Resorts and Spa in the Philippines decided to get in on the action.
Together with Liquid Dumaguete and their joint IDC venture Instructor Development Philippines, as well as the kids in the local ONE International School, they set July 2 as their Big Day. It turned out to be an amazing day where the Atmosphere crew swam times and distances way beyond what they thought was possible. The crew swam to Apo island and back, a distance of 20 k, the eight 3-6 year old school kids swam 1160 meters in the pool, and the staff and management of Atmosphere and Liquid Dumaguete swam 2-5 kilometers each along the Dauin coast.
Atmosphere Resorts and Spa would like to thank everyone who helped raise the $4,455. If you haven’t already donated, it’s not too late – visit: http://finathon.org/team/AtmosphereResorts.
