2016 BSAC Diving Conference heading towards sell out

BSAC

image-27546-origThere has been a huge response to the evolving BSAC Diving Conference from BSAC members. Research unveiled that members wanted more highly-regarded external speakers, more breakout sessions and that there was a healthy appetite for a post-conference dinner.

The organisers were tasked accordingly and ticket sales indicate the changes are going down extremely well. The venue capacity has been increased to 600 due to demand and it’s anticipated the event will sell out before the day itself. Just three years ago the event took place in a single hall. It has now expanded to a four-track event so delegates can attend the talks that most interest them. Also new for this year: many of the main hall sessions are due to be filmed, so post-event members will be able to catch up on talks they missed.

BSAC National Diving Officer Sophie Heptonstall who is overseeing the event said: “I’m thrilled the event is proving so popular. We listened to members and we’ve worked harder than ever to pull out all the stops with double the guest speakers and breakout sessions. It is set to be a fantastic day.”

BSAC’s annual conference is open to all BSAC members and will take place on Saturday 22 October at the Birmingham NEC. Tickets are available at £25. In addition to the extensive speaker programme, conference tickets include access to the Dive Show all weekend, a mesh bag and post-event drinks session.
