Description: Underwater, the eagle ray resembles a soaring bird of prey, not without reason it got such a name. The movement of its diamond-shaped fins is similar to the flapping of wings, and the nose is like a bird's beak. During the dive, the bracken can be seen swiftly and gracefully “flying” past in the blue, and if you’re lucky, then during the meal, because, unlike plankton-eating manta rays, bracken feed on shellfish, mollusks, and crustaceans. Spotted eagles (Aetobatus narinari) live in the Red Sea.
I was lucky to watch the game and dance of these two amazing creatures. I joined the eagles on their open water flight and my new video will help you see them up close.
