Description: Just off shore from Giftun Kebir you will find Hamda (or Stone Beach) with a beautiful white sandy beach and some spectacular cliffs above it. One of the most famous dive sites around. With a small Plateu at around 12 to 15 m from where a steep wall drops down to 40 meters. The wall is full of the common reef fish, coral, stonefish, morays and octopus. Into the blue are reef sharks, barracudas, turtles, jacks and tuna which all wait for their meal of the day.
A drift dive from the north is a popular option, the wall is more interesting and it is interrupted by a few coral formations along the way. Towers stretching out with caverns and swim-throughs are covered with soft corals.
