PRODUCT SHOWCASE: Mares Fusion 52X Regulator
Fusion 52X is the most recent development from Mares in the elite regulator segment, creating a new technical and innovative paradigm in the dive market.
The new Fusion 52X boasts innovations in both the first and second stages. It improves performance and functions differently from any other regulator in the industry and at the same time, has won a Red Dot Design Award.
The new first stage (52X) is better performing and features new characteristics that make it truly unique to the regulator market.
In addition to the double DFC system for outstanding airflow at any depth and the NCC (Natural Convection Channel) for advanced performance even in cold water, this regulator now features the new ACT – Advanced Coating Technology – valve. With a new innovative coating, the new high pressure valve passes all durability tests demonstrating performance up to 600% better than traditional valves.
In addition, a direct focus to improve the many components inside the first stage was closely examined ensuring the very best performance and reliability.
The unique features and innovation of this regulator aren’t limited to just the first stage.
For the first time in Mares regulator design, the second stage (Fusion) features the “Twin Power” flow control, which changes the way gas is delivered, from natural breathing to power breathing.
Switching from the VAD position to VAD + is quick and easy, allowing divers to move effortlessly between the two settings at any time and in any situation.
The increase in performance is created by a detailed analysis and reconfiguration of the geometry of the bypass tube, a Mares exclusive (patent). In addition to making it larger (cross-section increased by 77%), the shape of the bypass tube now features two curves maximizing utilization of air flow potential.
Also, increasing the depth of the 2nd stage body allows for extended demand lever travel, resulting in a 2nd stage valve that can open farther, ensuring optimum performance even at extreme depths.
The purge button is a fine-tuned version of what is already offered on the Instinct second stage, which swivels making it incredibly easy to use.
Both the first and second stages have been upgraded with a unique and exclusive look, boasting a matte satin coating making the Fusion 52X a true gem.
Available as a regulator and an octopus, with both INT and DIN versions.
